Glossop Historical Society meeting cancelled

25 January 2012 - Tonight's meeting of the Glossop and District Historical Society has been cancelled due to predicted bad weather. The talk "Can place names shed light on the Dark Ages in the North-West Peak District?" by Dr Paul Brotherton will be rescheduled.

The plans for the new library can be viewed on Derbyshire County Council's website. On Google Search type in Derbyshire County Council/Planning then select 'Current Applications' scroll down the page to find application number CD1/1212/128 to demolish the Social Services building on Talbot Street and build a new library.
  For those people who do not have  a computer we will be placing information in the following shops and businesses in Glossop.
